This Sunday morning, amidst the buzz of thousands of runners and spectators, our very own Chris Brightman will be stepping out of his usual role at our architect's practice to face a different challenge.

Chris is set to run his first marathon, participating in the prestigious 2024 London Marathon.

For those who know Chris, this marathon is not just a test of physical endurance but a testament to his dedication and passion. Balancing a rigorous training schedule with his responsibilities as a director at our practice, Chris has shown the same level of commitment and attention to detail that he brings to our high-end, bespoke architectural projects.

The London Marathon is renowned for its spirited atmosphere, historic route, and the incredible diversity of participants it attracts from around the globe. From elite athletes to enthusiastic amateurs, the event has something for everyone.

For Chris, the marathon represents a personal goal long in the making, and he's excited to experience every mile of it.

Chris's journey to the marathon started with casual jogs to clear his mind after a busy day at the office. However, as his passion for running grew, so did his ambitions. Over the past year, we've all witnessed his early morning training sessions and disciplined nutrition and recovery approach. His transformation from novice runner to marathon-ready is nothing short of inspiring.

Beyond personal achievement, Chris is running to support a cause close to our hearts. He's raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

We invite our clients, colleagues, and the local community of Dore to support Chris in this commendable endeavour. Your support means a lot, whether you cheer him on the day, watch him on the BBC or contribute to his fundraising efforts.

So, let's get behind Chris as he trades his computer mouse and CAD drawings for water bottles and mile markers this Sunday. We are incredibly proud of him and can't wait to see him cross that finish line.

Go, Chris, go!
