From Bungalow to a Two-Storey Family Home – Wakefield

This project reimagines an existing bungalow as a contemporary family home, carefully extended and reordered to suit modern living while remaining comfortable within its mature setting.

The approved design introduces a series of simple pitched forms, generous glazing and a restrained palette of natural materials. Internally, the home will be transformed with light-filled living spaces, stronger connections to the garden and a layout designed to support everyday family life.

The architecture is deliberately calm and timeless — modern, but not showy — allowing the landscape, materials and proportions to do the heavy lifting.

Planning permission has now been secured, and the project is moving forward to the next stage.
